Description
What a classic English sports car!
This is a 1959 Austin-Healey 100-6 BN 4. This car it's been in the ownership of one family for several decades. She was recently taken out of storage and given a tune up. It runs well and actually drives fairly well for an unrestored vehicle. It is offered as an entry level driver or as a fairly complete and correct car ready for restoration. Rare factory hardtop is included. No soft top, frame or side curtains are included.
She starts and runs well. Brakes work. Steering is reasonably tight and precise. Transmission shifts well and the electric overdrive works properly. The speedometer, odometer and gauges seem to function. The tires are old and should be replaced before putting into service.
The paint is glossy but is a mediocre paint job from many years ago. There are thousands of small blisters ( think pickle) in the paint and numerous larger blisters on the factory hardtop. There has been previous rust repair to the rocker panels and lower sheet metal. Some rust is reappearing. The doors open and close nicely.
The interior is acceptable for an entry-level, unrestored driver. The seats, instrument panel and interior trim are covered in vinyl. The carpet is not factory correct.
Underneath you will see a frame with very little rust and a few very noticeable impact dents.
I have an 8 1/2 minute walk around video and a short driving video.
If you are looking for a Big Healey on a budget you should take a look at this car. She'll be fun on warm days, but a full restoration should be in her future.
