Transporter Truck

This 1961 Volkswagen Type 2 fold down side transporter truck is loads of fun and has tons of personality. She runs and drives very well and the fold out front and rear glass are functional and entertaining.

She has a rebuilt 1600 cc engine sporting dual carburetors. She runs very well and the four-speed transmission shifts very nicely. The steering is good with very little free play. It's been upgraded to disc brakes on the front.

The red and white paint scheme is period correct and in excellent condition. The seats, door panels and headliner are all excellent. The cab floor, bed floor and the under bed storage compartment have all been rhino lined and painted. The body is very nice with doors that close well. A look underneath will show some previous patchwork but all in all mostly original sheet metal in good condition.
