Description

This 1963 Fiat 600D Multipla, Chassis # 100D108105232:
This car has a long-documented history from new thanks to its original Italian registration booklet, and documentation from the ACI (Automobile Club D'Italia). Also, included is a large collection of all OEM documents and manuals including: Factory Owner's Manual, Factory Service Manual, Factory Service Parts List, Worldwide Service Station Location Booklet, Fiat Safe Motoring Hints Booklet, and a complete OEM tool kit and jack
The car's construction was completed on December 20th, 1962, and was first registered in Messina Sicily on February 6th, 1963. The car was restored some time ago by its first owner who kept and cared for the car for 44 years. It was exported to Canada in 2007 by its second owner who served as the President of the Club Fiat 500 of Montreal, which he founded in 2002. It was gently used and shown at a variety of events each year until coming to Pennsylvania in 2015 with its 3rd collector/owner. I purchased the car from this collector/owner through a classic car dealer in Philadelphia in March of 2015 and have made many repairs and upgrades during my ownership including:
New brake lines, flexible and rigid, master cylinder, and brake cylinders.
Rebuilt 903cc Fiat engine with all conversions required (ie. Starter, clutch, carburettor, reverse direction gear set, exhaust, distributor, air cleaner, and water pump.
Rebuilt 4-speed gearbox
New Front Suspension and steering. (Comes with parts needed to redo rear suspension)
Restored gauge cluster with addition of rare temperature gauge
Added white upholstery to tops of all rear seats to match front bench seat
Added custom designed cup holder beneath front seat
Refurbished all cooling system components and added custom aux. radiator and new water pump.
Replaced all missing or broken interior hardware
Replaced very rare front bumper overriders with NOS items
Replaced main floor pans and inner rocker structure where required
Restored steering wheel and horn push
New tires and stainless-steel hub caps.
Replaced very rare aluminum trim on front bench seat back with NOS item.
New electrical system units including control box, starter, generator
This Multipla is a rare example that maintains its original colors and chassis specifications including the six-passenger layout with fold-flat rear seating. I use it regularly for local driving, events, and shows.
