Description

Great looking 1970 Dodge Charger with factory 383 and automatic. Fresh carpet and upholstery. Runs and drives beautifully. Modern Sanden AC compressor.

This is a very good driver 1970 Charger 500. The 383 starts quickly, runs cool, has good oil pressure and per the previous owner less than 10,000 mi on a complete engine and transmission overhaul. The engine's backed up by a 3-speed automatic which shifts well. She drives well, tracks straight and stops straight. She is equipped with a modern Sanden air conditioning compressor. The engine compartment is neat and clean but not detailed.

The burnt orange paint with black painted roof is very glossy and more than good enough for a nice driver. There is no overspray. The body is straight and solid with some filler in the quarters. This is not noticeable upon visual inspection, but I want my buyers to be well informed. Tires are good. The floors are good. The rockers are good. The outer edges of the torsion bar rib where it attaches at the rockers is rusted out. That is a common issue with these Chargers as that part of the rib held mud and they rusted from the inside out. The metal all around it is solid. A repair overlay piece is available online for not much money .

The interior is very nice. The seat upholstery is excellent, headliner is excellent, door panels are excellent, carpet is excellent and there are no cracks in the dash. The glove box door is signed by Richard Petty and does have a small hole. The factory radio has been replaced with a more modern unit. The trim surround on the door panel armrests are not as nice as the rest of the interior.

Good looking, good running and good driving 1970 Charger 500.
