Description
Solid and bone stock original 1970 Karmann Ghia
This is a solid and good running and driving 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. She wears a brand new set of tires on freshly painted wheels. She still has all of her original sheet metal. The floors look great.
Engine starts quickly from cold and runs well. The transmission shifts very well, and the clutch feels good. The brakes work well, and she stops in a straight line. The steering is tight. The stock suspension is tight. Handles very well.
The body is very good. The floors look great and are the original floors. Panels are straight and have good gaps. It was repainted many years ago, but the paint still looks good enough with some imperfections. The glass all looks good. Most of the trim looks good and the side molding trim is new. The chrome on the bumpers appears to be the original. It's still shiny but has plenty of age marks and wear. There is a very small area of rust bubbles in the bottom of the driver's fender. You can see them in the pictures. The inner wheelhouse seems to be just fine.
The interior appears to be the original from 1970. It could really use a full interior. The seats have some small tears, The dash pad is cracked and the headliner, though intact, is a little stained and ratty around the edges. The backseat looks pretty good. All of the rubber seals on the body are old and dried up.
