Fantastic old school real deal Hot Rod!

This car was one man's quest to build a pure original style Old school hot rod. He bought the literal book on how to build a 1931
High Boy and then set about searching classifieds and swap meets all over the country to find the original, and when possible, NOS parts to build it.

Even though this is a true to period 1931 highboy hot rod every part is either new, new old stock or rebuilt. The concessions to practicality include an electric fuel pump, a 12v alternator which looks like a generator, a hidden CD player and hidden speakers, vintage look radial tires $$$ and hidden mufflers that divert the exhaust from the lake pipes to keep noise down to nice rumble.

She comes with a few extras: 2nd set of rear wheels with racing tires, a fiberglass 1/2 hood, a rough homemade welded louver steel 1/2 hood and a small custom built open trailer.

She gives an unadulterated hot rod experience. The Flathead V8 sounds great, and the vintage parts all work together beautifully.

Her is some info from the gentleman who built her:

1. 1932 “K” member installed in frame.

2. “Z'd” frame in rear to lower body 4” to match front. This moves rear crossmember up into trunk area.

3. Raked windshield 17 degrees.

4. Completed frame with front crossmember tilted rearward 5 degrees.

5. Pete & Jakes 4” dropped & drilled front axle. 1955 Buick 12" front finned drums. 1955 F-100 steering box & column. 1937 Ford original steering wheel.

6. Set of cheater slicks and faux Q/C reared.

7. Body set down on frame for clearances.

8. 1949 Pontiac tail lights.

9. Finished car. (note primered spot on trunk lid - I dropped a wrench on it!!! ).

10. Trunk area with hidden 10 gallon original Model T gas tank and battery box on right. BorgWarner 12 v. electric fuel pump just below gas tank on frame.

11. Cockpit area with turned engine dash, vintage Stewart Warner gauges along with original SUN tachometer. 1940 Ford rearview mirror. 1937 Ford three speed top loader with Lincoln zephyr gears - rebuilt. El Mirage salt flats metal plaque on right side of dash. Makes people stop/look/point. (not real).

12. 1946 Ford model 59AB flathead. Acid dipped in Indianapolis & high pressure steam cleaned, bored .030” over, ported, relieved, balanced & blueprinted. Built with an N.O.S. 4” Mercury polished crankshaft, Eskadarian 400Jr camshaft, 8BA connecting rods and chevy s/s valves & seats (for unleaded gasoline), Johnson solid lifters, a Melling H/P oil pump and Pertronix Ignition & Coil. It has new “Offy” .425 heads & Super Dual intake with 2 Stromberg “97” rebuilt carbs. Radiator is a Walker 2” chopped built for the car.

13. 12 volt wiring throughout - all mounted on a wooden tray that tilts down for easy access. An am-fm-cd radio is built hidden under the seat framing with speakers behind dash.

14. 1937 Ford gearbox.

15. Body is Brookvile, along with 1932 dash and radiator shell, all painted PPG “Flex & Flat” for that nostalgic hot rod look.
